Along with Interizon ICT Cluster, we would like to invite you to join us on 22nd March 2017 at 6:00 PM at Sztuka Wyboru for the first in a new series of 3camp powered by Interizon meetups aimed at bringing together those who came to Gdańsk, Gdynia or Sopot (Tricity) from all over the world and decided to work and live here.

 

At the meetup our guests will share knowledge about IT and related fields as well as talk about living in Tricity from an expat’s perspective.

18:00 – 18:30 Alessandro Reina, Isn’t Gdansk too cold for the Sicilian?

 

Alessandro will talk about living and working in Gdańsk from the perspective of a Sicilian.

Alessandro Reina – Sicilian that has been living in Gdańsk since 2013. Businessman, recently awarded with the “Immigrant Entrepreneur” prize by the President of Gdansk. Master Chef. The greatest challenge of relocating to Gdansk was: learning Polish and getting used to cold weather.

 

18:30 – 19:00 Sebastian Nowak, AirHelp, Developing tech culture

 

What would happen if you send a developer to the call centre for one day? And what if you allow people from the same call centre spend 6 months learning programming? What’s the benefit of this exercise? Sebastian will share his thoughts about the Exchange Program and Intense Mentorship Program in AirHelp launched back in 2015.

Sebastian is a Ruby software developer fascinated with functional programming.

 

19:00 – 19:30 Łukasz Żeligowski, Grupa IT, The future is near. What is worthy of our attention in IT world

 

During his presentation Łukasz will focus on future of IT: new trends and ideas. Which technologies look promising and worth of our attention? Are the big-buzz-words like machine learning and blockchain something real?

Łukasz has been a programmer for over 20 years. During his career, he has taken part in a number of international projects. Currently he is the CEO of Grupa IT.
